02The world

Ride anywhere. Really anywhere.

Zwift's worlds are built by Zwift: Watopia, a made-up island, and maps of famous places. They look great, and there are only so many of them.

AnyMap builds its world from real map data, so every road on Earth is there, in 3D. The real L'Alpe d'Huez, all 21 hairpins. Silverstone, Monza and Spa, corner for corner. The streets of Paris and New York, and the road outside your door. The content never runs out, because the world doesn't.

And the real road counts: the grade of every meter sets your trainer's resistance. Ride the Alpe in AnyMap, and you have ridden the Alpe's climb, not a copy of it.

03Your own routes

Draw it. Ride it. A minute later.

In Zwift, you pick from Zwift's routes. In AnyMap, you draw your own. Tap a few points on the map, and AnyMap joins them on the real streets. Give it a name, and the server builds the map around it: streets, houses, woods and heights. You ride it a minute or two later, as a loop or from A to B, and back.

That changes how you train. Ride the climb of your next gran fondo before the day. Ride half of the Alpe this week and all of it next month. Cut Silverstone in half for a faster race. Ride the park near your home with your friends, on a rainy evening.

04Train

From your first ride to race day.

Both apps have workouts, plans and FTP tests. AnyMap's are built to be clear: 366 workouts, each with its purpose, and 8 training plans for every rider. Total beginners start with Back to Fitness or Fit in Four. Busy riders take Fast Fitness. Racers get Race Ready, and experienced riders build their season with Winter Build. ERG mode holds your watts, and after every ride AnyMap checks your FTP.

05Race

A race every 30 minutes.

Zwift has a big calendar of events. AnyMap keeps it simple: a race starts every 30 minutes, on the real race tracks, the famous finishes and the cities. Line up, wait for the countdown, and go.

The draft is real physics, the same for every rider, worked out on our server: air, climbing and tires, twenty times a second. On a wheel, the air pushes back up to 45 % less. At 200 watts, that is 40.9 km/h in the bunch against 34.0 km/h alone. So every attack is a decision, and every sprint is earned.

Every 30 min

A new race on the schedule.

Up to 45 %

Less air drag on a wheel.

Same physics

For every rider, on the server.

06The app

On the bike in a minute.

“I loved Zwift at first. … It took far too long to just hop on the bike for a quick ride.”
Yannik, who builds AnyMap

AnyMap started there. It finds your trainer, shifter and heart rate strap by itself, and connects again next time. Every screen is clean and quick: pick a workout, a route or a race, and ride. Every ride is saved second by second, with your power curve, your week and your month.

And it is safer than the road. No cars, no red lights, no bad roads, no rain. Indoors, every minute is a minute of training, at any hour, in any weather. With AnyMap, it is also a minute on the road you choose.

07FAQ

Before you switch.

If you want to ride real roads, AnyMap is built for exactly that. Every road on Earth is in AnyMap, and you can draw your own route anywhere in a minute. It has racing, 366 workouts, 8 training plans, FTP tests and a free version. If you need Apple TV, a PC or ANT+, Zwift fits better today.

Yes. With a Zwift Cog, AnyMap's 24 virtual gears do the shifting, and Zwift Click shifts them from your handlebar. AnyMap finds both over Bluetooth by itself.

If it speaks Bluetooth FTMS, yes. Most smart trainers of the last years do, like the Wahoo KICKR, the Tacx Neo and Flux, the Elite Suito and the Saris H3. AnyMap does not use ANT+.

Zwift has maps of real places, built by Zwift, and a made-up island, Watopia. AnyMap builds its world from real map data, so every road on Earth is there, and you can draw your own route on any of them.

Not today. AnyMap runs on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets, and a Mac app comes later. Put your phone or tablet on the handlebar or a stand, and you are ready.

Yes, with no account: ERG mode, the ramp test and the 20-minute test, a set of free workouts, the first rides of every training plan, and all your stats. Premium adds online racing, every route, the route builder and all workouts.
